Community Outreach Picnic Day

The W.O.G.W. Mission Outreach (Women of God World & Jacob’s Safe House) a Non-Profit Organization decided to come to Immokalee for their 2nd Annual 4th of July Community Outreach Picnic Day which was held at Zocalo Plaza located at 104 1st and Main Street. Corrine Williams Fargusen and her church group wanted to give to the community of Immokalee especially after Hurricane Irma.

Ms. Fargusen, her husband and her home church group called upon the Immokalee and Naples store vendors for donations. All the stores did come through for this celebration. Corrine said “We were blessed to receive in kind donations from local super markets in Naples and Immokalee which greatly reduced our expenses for the event We want to also thank the many clubs and organization’s in Immokalee that helped us with the celebration. The community entertainment was very extremely nice.”

Ms Corrine said that over 70 individuals were in attendance even though the community was very worried about the visual appearance of the Immigration Vans touring the Immokalee community (I.C.E.). If you did not attend this years’ celebration, please join us for next year’s 3rd Annual 4th of July Celebration.

Danny Gonzalez-President of the Immokalee Chamber of Commerce would like to extend his thanks to the W.O.G.W Mission Outreach & The Jacob’s Safe House for a fantastic Event held “JUST” for the community of Immokalee.
