Starting at 9 a.m. Saturday, December 3, and going unto 6 p.m. Sunday, December 4.
Collier County Domestic Animal Services will host a 33-hour adopt-a-thon in an effort to find homes for all of its adoptable animals.
The Home for the Holidays Adopt-a-Thon will begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3, and will last until 6 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 4, at the Naples shelter, located at 7610 Davis Blvd., Naples, Florida 34104. Pet lovers will be able to take home the animal of their choice at no cost. Donations to the DAS Donation Trust Fund, which helps homeless animals including paying for emergency medical needs of shelter pets, are encouraged.
All adoptions include spay/neuter surgery, microchip, vaccinations, flea treatment, heartworm test for dogs, FELV/FIV test for cats, rabies vaccination and 30 days of free pet insurance. That’s a value of more than $400!
“We hope that by offering free adoptions during this once-a-year event, we will be able to help our wonderful shelter animals find their forever homes just in time for the holidays,” said Darcy Andrade, division director of Collier County Domestic Animal Services. “We hope you can join us and find the perfect pet for you and your family.”
