Gonzalez named Immokalee Water and Sewer’s Supervisor of the Year

The Immokalee Water & Sewer District held the Annual Meeting at the I-Tech College – 508 N. 9th St –Immokalee, at 6:30 p.m. on November 14. During the meeting, the Board of Commissioners held Election of Officers, and also recognized the 2019 Supervisor of the Year.

It is with great pleasure that I introduce to you the Immokalee Water & Sewer District – SUPERVISOR OF THE YEAR: Mrs. Ofelia Gonzalez. Mrs. Gonzalez earned the Supervisor of the year because of her hard work and educational achievements all year and we are very proud to have her as the 2019 Supervisor of the Year.

Ofelia Gonzalez was hired in August 1998 to work in our Administration Department. She currently holds the title of Administration Supervisor. In that position, she supervisors 6 employees, plans, manages and supervises the District’s Administration business office, ensuring the accurate and timely performance of accounting and meter reading activities. She provides professional and courteous customer service. During the 2019 Fiscal Year, Mrs. Gonzalez attended Florida Water & Pollution Control Association Short School and was certified on Utility Customer Relations Level 3. She attended various seminars and began taking classes at Florida South Western. She also attended the Florid Association of Special District Annual Conference.

In recognition of her outstanding achievements in being named 2019 SUPERVISOR OF THE YEAR, Mrs. Ofelia Gonzalez will receive 16 hours off with pay, an Immokalee Water & Sewer District shirt, a check for $100 and the award from the Immokalee Water & Sewer District, along with our congratulations and heartfelt appreciation for a job well done
