The Naples Depot Museum presents Trains Around the World: Railroad Photographs by Fred M. Springer on display 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., Monday-Saturday beginning May 1 through July 31. The Naples Depot Museum is located at 1051 Fifth Avenue South, Naples, Florida 34102. Admission to the museum and exhibit is free.

Trains Around the World: Railroad Photographs by Fred M. Springer seeks to capture the spirit of Springer’s work and showcases his rail imagery from all six inhabited continents. The selection of images reveals a commonality of human technology across cultures and nations through the enduring railroad industry. Springer created a visual record of the decline and rebirth of railroading in the United States, while internationally capturing the juxtaposition of rail technology in less-developed parts of the globe.

The Naples Depot Museum will host a reception for Trains Around the World: Railroad Photographs by Fred M. Springer featuring a sampling of foods from select photograph locations from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m., Thursday, June 27, sponsored in part by the Friends of Collier County Museums. Admission is free. RSVP at www.CollierMuseums.com/Events or call (239) 252-8419.
