Wills for Heroes offers free service to first responders

Legal Aid of Collier County, in partnership with the law firm of Cohen & Grigsby, will be preparing wills and other basic estate planning documents free of charge to veterans, police officers, firefighters, emergency medical technicians, paramedics, dispatchers, and other first responders (and their spouses).

This event will take place on Saturday, November 11, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Legal Aid office, which is located at 4436 Tamiami Trail East in Naples.

“Wills for Heroes is our way of saying ‘thank you’ to the veterans, law enforcement officers, emergency personnel, and their spouses who sacrifice so much for the sake of making our community safe,” said Kelley Geraghty Price, a partner with the law firm of Cohen & Grigsby, P.C.

Any veteran or first responder interested in participating is urged to register in advance by completing the online registration form on Legal Aid’s website http://www.collierlegalaid.org/2017-wills-for-heroes.

Anyone interested in attending the Wills for Heroes event must be a Florida resident, and will need to present a military or first responder ID to receive services. VA cards and DD-214 forms are acceptable.

Online registration closes November 7, 2017 so it’s recommended that attendees register early as there are limited opportunities for this service.
