Two Teens Arrested in Homicide

Two Immokalee teens are facing murder charges following a drive-by shooting Tuesday evening.

The Collier County Sheriff’s Office arrested 19-year-old Jesus Montelongo III, 19, and 17-year-old Malachi Montelongo, on charges of second-degree murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Deputies responded to calls of a shooting along Amos Court at 6:21 p.m. Tuesday. Deputies learned that two males drove up to a residence, exited their vehicle and fired multiple shots into a second vehicle with three victims inside.

One of the victims, a 33-year-old female, was transported to Lee Memorial Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Multiple witnesses identified the two shooters by name. Deputies detained the suspects for questioning and later booked them into the Immokalee Jail Center.
