Students First – HLE honors Best Supporting Actresses

The 92nd Academy Awards took place on Sunday. Top actors and actresses in various categories were awarded for their outstanding performances and roles. Highlands Elementary School (HLE) decided to do something similar, recently, by honoring its Best Supporting Actresses. The HLE Best Supporting Actresses event took place January 31st and provided an opportunity for students to connect with strong, supportive female role models. Students enjoyed playing games, participating in arts and crafts, and sharing breakfast together with their role model. Aunts, sisters, mothers, and friends were all welcome!

“Positive role models help to inspire, support, and influence the life of a student,” shares HLE principal Margaux Horne. Horne realizes just how impactful those relationships can be as she witnesses the results on her campus each day. It’s also the reason that the school is now sending out an all-call for its Best Supporting Actors!

Students at HLE are invited to bring their Best Supporting Actor, or positive male role model, to the school on Friday, February 21, at 7:40 a.m. It doesn’t have to be a parent. Bring along a cousin, uncle, grandparent, or family friend. Together, you’ll enjoy breakfast and share in many memorable activities.

We hope you’re up for the role, gentlemen!
