NFL Flag football kicks off their 2018/2019 Season

On Saturday December 1st, NFL Flag football started their first practice of the season. Sponsored by Fellowship Sports Ministry of the First Baptist Church of Immokalee, NFL Flag was developed by the National Football League.to encourage children ages 5 – 14 to become physically active in a non-contact sport. The league is one of many established throughout the country that inspires co-ed teams and gives players more play time than contact football.

Although the league is already underway, they always are looking for fans to come out and cheer for their favorite NFL teams. Games will start at 9 at the Gary Bates Stadium, (Immokalee High School Football stadium), and will continue until 12, depending on the age group. Games will start December 8 and continue every Saturday afterwards. The concession stand will be open during the duration of the games. So come out and support Immokalee’s youth, as you cheer on your favorite NFL team. For more information go to www.fellowshipchurch.com, and click the “sports” link.
